From my series 'Decay and Decadence'  The series is loosely based on my favourite sonnet Ozymandias by P B Shelly. This piece is number one in the series. It is the juxtaposition between a beautiful French chair from my lino-cut print, exquisite lacework from a wedding dress and the decaying fabrics of silk, hand-worked doilies from another life.
